Think Religion Doesn't Matter? Think Again.

Religious belief inflames passions of some people in our world, so it has become customary to avoid talking about our beliefs. Patrick Nachtigall says that is a critcal mistake. Our beliefs have shaped our culture, our history, and our personal values for hundreds of years. So religious beliefs play a vital role in our world today.

Christians need to be aware of the differences between Christianity and other world religions. We need tolerance and understanding as we dialogue with others about issues of faith. Passport of Faith records the experiences of one man striving to do so.

Patrick Nachtigall visits 10 countries in his exploration of the role of religion in shaping identity and culture. Interwoven with the basics of eight world religions are personal stories of his encounters with people and culture. Travel along with this young man as he encounters a world where religion does matter — more than ever before!
